Become aware of needs and desires with Matthias

Step 1: Follow the guided meditation

Get comfortable… Allow yourself to relax in this guided meditation

 

 

Step 2: Continue on your own

Now you are ready to experiment on your own! Continue the Wake Up Pleasure In Your Hands and follow the next points:

Focus points:

  1. Focus on the sensations in your fingertips
  2. Focus on the sensations inside your body
  3. Bring back your attention to the sensations in your fingertips
  4. Ask yourself this question: What do I need right now? (and let go of seeking the answer)
  5. Ask yourself this question: What do I desire right now? (let go of seeking the answer)
  6. Sit for 1 minute and notice your thoughts and stories and observe them
  7. Feel inside your bodily sensations, is there a physical feeling of the desire or need?
  8.  Locate the physical part of the need and desire in your body and let it be
  9. Relax into the sensation
 
After 5 minutes of meditation, answer the following questions:
 
  1.  How do I feel Inside my body and how is it different than before the meditation?
  2.  What desires and  needs do I feel inside my body?
  3. Did bringing awareness to the physical part of the desire or need give me a sense of peace?
  4. Rate your feelings (1 out of 10): How good did I feel before the meditation?
  5. Rate your feelings (1 out of 10): How good do I feel right now?
